With the new management system for the extrusion process, traditional thermoregulation is no longer needed and is replaced by a new device that provides continuous control and adjustment of the existing and operating energy and heat flows. The entire cylinder is controlled by a single temperature, which allows the energy used to be minimized, along with the advantage of improving plasticizing capacity and increasing productivity.

The new system includes a number of patented changes to both the screw (or screws if the extruder is twin-screw) and the cylinder.

The energy balance control makes cooling fans unnecessary and the cylinder is thermally insulated, eliminating heat exchange with the external environment.

The hopper, too, is no longer limited to containing the raw material, but becomes a component integrated with the extrusion process.

The new management system can be used on both twin-screw and single-screw extruders.

Within certain limits, the new system can be applied to existing extruders, thus making an important and convenient technological upgrade.
